Hi there, welcome to flour+hand. My name is Karen Brown, I’m 54, married with two teenage daughters. I live in Days Bay, a small sea-side community near Wellington city, the capital of New Zealand. The things I most enjoy in life are: my family and pets, cooking; especially baking. Paper-crafting and calligraphy, drawing and stamping. I love to decorate my home, and am constantly changing my collections around. Ah, collecting– there’s butterflies and beetles and birds. There are jelly molds, cookie cutters, and cake stands. And books. Lots and lots of books. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy this window to my home, Cheers Karen
Hi Karen, Your mother-in-law Nola sent this site to me as she always keeps me up to date with what you are doing. I love it and will definately try some of your recipes out.

Hi there Jenny, I’m already working on Christmas stuff. This cold weather we’re having in NZ makes it the perfect time to craft.
